The airport is conveniently located just 1 hour and 30 minutes' drive from Saarbrücken, and offers various transportation options including buses, trains, car rentals, and taxis to get you to the city.
Frankfurt Hahn Airport:
Located just 1 hour and 20 minutes' drive from Saarbrücken, this airport has limited public transportation options, making car rental the most convenient mode of travel. Although there is a bus service, it operates only a few times a week and may not have convenient timings. Therefore, if you prefer not to rent a car, Frankfurt Hahn airport may not be the most suitable option.
Luxembourg Airport:
The airport is conveniently located just a 1 hour and 20 minute drive from Saarbrücken, with car rental services available onsite. Additionally, a city bus outside the airport can take you to Luxembourg train station in just 25 minutes. From there, you can take a coach to Saarbrücken which takes approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes and costs 5 euros. Alternatively, trains to Saarbrücken are also available from Luxembourg train station.
Saarbrücken Airport:
Located just 15-20 minutes away from Saarbrücken center, this airport offers convenient access via taxis or buses. However, please note that the airport has limited flight options available.
Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport
The airport is conveniently located just 1 hour and 45 minutes by a special high speed train from Saarbrücken (only from the train station gare de l'est). If you'd like to see the city of love as well this might be an option for you
